About the Role:
This position reports to the Manager, Production, Corus Creative Services and has a main focus but is not limited to the production of short form sponsorship creative for Corus clients. This role is required to work directly with the National Sales team, Corus Client Marketing team, Local sales, and media agencies and clients.
You will contribute by:
Production of billboards and other short form creative
Adhering to and enforcing CRTC, ThinkTV and Ad Standards regulations and compliancy guidelines
Managing day-to-day communication with the Sales and Client Marketing teams, post and audio departments and agency/client for short form production and approvals
Working with Creative Services producers/writers as a production liaison for campaigns with Client Marketing and agencies to ensure project deliverables and timelines are met
Production management of network integrated spots, graphic projects, and production of creative or sales reels when required
Creating and executing detailed workback/production schedules. Revising schedules and bookings to meet changing needs and requirements as campaigns progress.
Scheduling post production and post audio time for campaigns
Booking voice over talent, negotiating rates, generating deal memos and talent agreements
Working with the Traffic department and Master Control to ensure that spots are quality controlled, delivered correctly and on time for broadcast
Finance Responsibilities: Processing invoices, preparing and submitting monthly internal transfers, completing forms for external client billing, tracking and reconciling department production related costs
Ensuring project documents and assets are complete, current, and files stored/archived accurately
Keeping the creative team abreast of all material and network changes
Resolving issues in a timely and professional fashion
Other duties and administrative tasks as requested
Skills and experience you will bring:
Interest in advertising, media and commercial production
A graduate of a film/radio and television program at the college or university level
Must have a minimum of 1-2 years direct working experience in production
Must have a minimum of 1-2 years direct working experience in post-production
Knowledge of broadcast and digital production formats and deliverables
Working knowledge of CRTC, Ad Standards and ThinkTV guidelines
Exceptionally strong attention to detail
Effective project and time management capabilities
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects
Highly organized and effective communication skills
Professional and positive demeanor when working with clients and agencies
Problem solving, strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Programs: Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Teams, Adobe Photoshop, ability to learn new databases and scheduling programs
