We’re looking for a Senior Engineer / Project Manger to join our dynamic Mobility team. If you’re eager to tackle diverse, high-impact projects across Ontario, this is your chance to make your mark! You’ll be at the forefront of developing multidisciplinary design plans for key transportation projects, including providing preliminary and detail design support to Environmental Assessments, Feasibility Studies, Complete Streets designs, Traffic Management Plans, and Traffic Signals Design.
In addition to working on innovative, meaningful projects, you’ll enjoy the flexibility of our hybrid work model—work from home or in one of our offices in Burlington, Toronto-Mississauga, Kitchener, or London. Plus, with flexible hours, you’ll have the freedom to balance work and life your way.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage and/or assist with the management of functional, preliminary, and/or detailed design for transportation projects.
Prepare functional, preliminary, and/or detailed design drawings
Assist with the preparation of technical reports related to various transportation design studies and projects.
Liaise with internal team members, clients, and agencies to ensure smooth communication and coordination.
Ensure design calculations, standards, and drafting meet current design standards, client specifications, and all applicable guidelines.
Contribute to multidisciplinary projects that include Preliminary Design and Environmental Assessment Studies, Feasibility Studies, Complete Street designs, Traffic Management/Control Plans, Traffic Signal projects, and Active Transportation and Road Safety Countermeasure design and implementation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering preferred
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license from Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)
Certification as a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) or Road Safety Professional (RSP) is an asset
Minimum of 10 years of design engineering experience in transportation projects.
Strong experience in transportation design, including roads, intersections, roundabouts, traffic signals, and active transportation facilities.
Proficiency in using design software packages such as Microstation, AutoCAD, Civil3D, InRoads, or OpenRoads.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with team members, clients, and agencies.
