As an Inside Sales Representative, you’ll sell low-voltage electrical wire, cable, and custom cable assemblies/harnesses to OEM manufacturers and other industrial users across Ontario & Eastern Canada. You’ll be responsible for reactivating a large database of dormant/past customers, developing new business, and growing smaller assigned accounts—owning the full sales cycle. Base salary is $60,000–$70,000 plus commission.

THE LOCATION
Head office: Mississauga, ON (in-office)
Hours: Two staggered shifts—8:00–4:30 or 8:30–5:00 (Mon–Fri); Travel: Occasional local customer visits; no hand-offs to outside sales and no routine overnight travel.

THE POSITION
You’ll re-establish relationships across thousands of past/dormant customers, identify current buyers, quote, and close. You’ll start with a portfolio of smaller accounts and keep the larger accounts you develop
PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS
Primarily OEM manufacturers using wire/cable inside equipment (machinery, conveyors, automation, incubators).
Security integrators are a secondary focus at present. Decision makers include purchasing, engineers, and production.
PRODUCT & SALES CYCLE
Expect many shorter, transactional cycles at first (reactivating repeat buyers), then ramp into larger value as relationships grow. You keep and grow what you build.
TYPICAL DAY & DUTIES
High-volume warm/cold calling to dormant/past customers to verify buyers and re-open accounts
Manage and grow a starter book of smaller accounts; move into larger accounts as you ramp
Prepare quotes, enter orders in the ERP, and follow through on delivery with purchasing support
Research/build new-logo prospect lists once dormant lists are worked
Occasional local customer visits as needed (no routine overnight travel)
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary: $60,000–$70,000 (experience-based)
Commission: paid on gross profit
Typical ramp to meaningful commissions ~12 months (faster with industry experience).
SUPPORT & TRAINING
ISO-documented onboarding, custom ERP (Syacc/Siac) training, and on-the-job coaching: you’ll start calling quickly using a script tailored to your voice; quoting/product depth comes next with manager/senior-rep support. Team is highly collaborative and steps in to help new hires.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND
1–3 years of inside sales / account management (or strong transferable “customer support + multiple SKUs + follow-through” profile)
Electrical distributor/contractor sales background (e.g., “Gear Electric”-type environments) is a plus; heavy “tech cable” sellers should note the product focus differs here
EDUCATION
Post-secondary education or equivalent professional experience.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Comfort with ERP/CRM quoting and order entry; proficiency with MS/Google tools; able to learn wire/cable specs and read basic customer requirements to recommend the right product or assembly.
