As a Commercial Manager, you’ll oversee financial due diligence, ensure compliance with large deal processes, and drive profitability for Power Systems equipment sales. Strong communication, project management, and relationship-building skills are essential. Job Description: Lead proposal development, customer clarifications, and negotiations for Power Systems equipment and aftermarket products. Manage governance and compliance in the large deal process. Perform market analytics and contribute to commercial marketing programs. Support development of standardized Power Systems deal calculation tools and audit deal accuracy. Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and execution risks. Collaborate with Caterpillar and internal teams to align commitments and deliverables. Day-to-Day Activities: Kick off opportunities and lead strategy discussions for RFP responses. Draft and manage Gantt charts, monitor timelines, and lead progress meetings. Review deal sheets, term sheets, and ensure alignment with negotiated agreements. Participate in customer clarification meetings and negotiations. Provide weekly updates to leadership and document commitments. Assist legal with contract drafting and ensure compliance with agreed terms. Prepare reports on deal performance, risk, and profitability. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Economics, Supply Chain, Marketing, Business, or related field. 3–5 years of Power Systems industry experience; equipment sales or marketing preferred. Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and data analysis capabilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems. Ability to travel as required, up to 25%. Important: Based out of our Edmonton head office. Permanent, full-time role. Monday – Friday, 5x2 schedule.
