Our Content Development team consists of local, regional, and global professionals reassuring clients that our software isn’t just cutting edge – it’s world-class, too. Responsible for maintaining LEAP’s global standards of care and expertise, the team harnesses a deep and complex understanding of the intricacies of law across jurisdictions and over time – ensuring LEAP’s output is always current, compliant and appropriate.
From database design to document management and legal research, you’ll turn an encyclopaedic knowledge of the law into a more streamlined and automated global LEAP experience. As a result, LEAP helps law firms help people and make a real difference.
We are seeking an Estates Content Specialist for a highly motivated, high-velocity, and growing team in our offices in Toronto and Poland, who will investigate how to tailor our software to meet the needs of legal professionals working in Wills & Lifetime Planning and Estate administration. The Estates Content Specialist will be a legal expert who is excited about working in a technology company and keen to work in a dynamic, innovative environment outside of a traditional legal career to help shape the future of legal practice. This role will report to the Director of Canadian Content Development.
Key Responsibilities
Shape the future of legal tech: Leverage your legal expertise to design tools that help firms work smarter and more efficiently.
Lead content innovation: Conduct legal research across multiple provinces to identify opportunities to enhance LEAP’s Wills & Estates content and automation.
Client communication and feedback: Engage with clients, gather feedback, and work cross-functionally with our Forms, Development, and Product teams to bring your insights to life.
Enhance matter types: Oversee and continuously improve LEAP’s Wills & Estates matter types to ensure seamless workflows for our users.
Modernize estate administration: Curate and expand LEAP’s library of automated forms, ensuring they accurately populate with client data for faster, error-free document creation.
Work with AI tools: Develop intelligent AI prompt templates and leverage LEAP’s AI capabilities to generate draft affidavits, letters, and other documents — revolutionizing how lawyers prepare materials.
Drive new projects: Support strategic content initiatives through research, analysis, and project management, helping deliver best-in-class products to our clients.
Required Qualification
LL.B. or J.D. degree with active membership in good standing with a Canadian Law Society.
Minimum 3 years’ experience practicing in Wills, Lifetime Planning, and Estate Administration.
Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
A genuine passion for legal technology and innovation — experience using practice management or document automation software is an asset.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills — you enjoy working across teams and departments.
Strong organizational and project management abilities with a focus on quality and detail.
A proactive, curious mindset — you love finding smarter, simpler ways to get things done.
