As the Manager Canadian Real Estate, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving our facilities to support our ambitious goals. What You’ll Do Maintenance Management: Plan and schedule regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs. Manage maintenance staff and external contractors. Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations Budgeting and Financial Management: Develop and manage the facilities budget. Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures. Space Utilization and Planning: Optimize the use of space within the facilities. Coordinate office moves and renovations as needed. Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. Implement emergency procedures and conduct regular drills. Vendor and Contract Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with external vendors and service providers. Monitor and evaluate vendor performance. Energy and Environmental Management: Implement energy-saving initiatives. Ensure adherence to environmental regulations. Collaborator Communication: Act as a point of contact for building-related issues. Communicate effectively with collaborators, including employees, management, and external partners. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, business administration, or a related area of study or equivalent work experience Proven proficiency in real estate management, particularly in the Canadian market, with at least 7 years of applicable experience Coordinate and lead all aspects of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing. Experience in leading development and implementation of real estate strategies for our Canadian portfolio Professional certification in real estate management is an asset. What You Bring Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities and trends. Engage with customers to assess real estate demands and devise strategies. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management. Ability to successfully implement real estate projects from inception to completion. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong business acumen and ability to demonstrates big picture understanding of business, interrelationships, priorities Excellent time management skills and strong attention to detail Working Conditions Primarily office-based with occasional site visits.
