KPMG in Canada is looking for a seasoned and strategic communications leader to drive firm-wide internal communications and initiatives that support Clients and Markets as well as our HR agenda and People strategy.
Reporting to the Managing Director of Corporate Affairs, the Senior Manager of Corporate Communications will lead high-impact initiatives that strengthen KPMG’s culture, brand and employee experience. You’ll work closely with Clients and Markets and People leaders to deliver innovative and multi-channel internal communications that reflect business priorities, employee initiatives and programs and evolving market dynamics.
The Senior Manager is responsible for providing strategic direction, leadership and implementation of internal communications that inform, engage and support KPMG’s Partners and employees across Canada.
This is a strategic and hands-on role. The successful candidate will bring their 10+ years of communications leadership experience to develop innovative and impactful communications strategies, while also rolling up their sleeves to help execute.
What you will do
Work with the Corporate Affairs team leaders to develop communications strategies that support firm-wide priorities.
Work with key stakeholders across the business to identify emerging internal communication needs, innovating and adapting accordingly.
Lead communications for national Clients and Markets and People programs and initiatives that drive engagement and support our brand strategy.
Collaborate across the business to solve communications challenges and align messaging with firm priorities.
Bring fresh ideas and best practices to elevate our communication approach.
Mentor and lead a high-performing team, fostering growth and accountability.
Represent the Canadian firm in global meetings, sharing updates on internal communications in the People and workplace space.
What you bring to the role
A communications professional with 10+ years of experience leading communications in large and/or matrix organizations.
Experience working directly with C-suite on firm-wide communications plans.
Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field.
Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex messages.
Excellent project management skills to balance multiple priorities and stakeholder expectations / business demands.
Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to work with numerous stakeholders to achieve objectives.
Understanding the professional services environment and a matrixed organization is a significant asset.
A strategic and creative mindset to foster a culture of innovation and experimentation.
A positive, solution-oriented approach with an ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
