What You Will Do:
Ensure accurate and timely receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment, including verifying shipments, processing documentation, and maintaining inventory records.
Perform routine shipping, receiving, and material handling tasks; operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet trucks safely and efficiently.
Monitor inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and coordinate with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Operations to identify and resolve shortages.
Support warehouse organization and housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Train and guide new warehouse associates and students on standard warehouse procedures.
Ensure proper transport and storage conditions for all materials, taking corrective action when necessary.
Control the issue and return of tools, equipment, and protective gear, including managing the rubber glove exchange.
Participate in on-call rotations, emergency response, and internal/external audits as required.
Adhere to all safety standards and regulations, including OH&S, WHMIS, ESA Reg 22/04, and corporate safety policies; report hazards and participate in risk assessments and incident investigations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is considered an asset.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control, warehousing, shipping/receiving, or related materials handling environment.
Demonstrated experience working with inventory management systems and related software; ability to learn new systems and tools quickly.
Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize competing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and inventory handling.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Proficient in basic math, data entry, and record-keeping.
Forklift certification preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
Valid Ontario Class G driver's license in good standing required.
