Job Description: POSITION PURPOSE SUMMARY: To support clients and operate residential facility, through: Client admissions, intake processing, case triaging, primary support case work, referral and clerical duties. Provide clients with encouragement and access to wrap around supports that ultimately lead to getting housed and staying housed. ACCOUNTABILITIES: Written and Verbal Communication Performing all relevant documentation related to PSCW including but not limited to: intake/discharge forms, client HIFIS notes, shift logs, incident reports, client forms, medication documents, client applications, stats reports, etc. Responsible for maintaining personal MyArmy work account/password for all strategic work purposes including email, Workday (attendance and scheduling), Salvation Army corporate information systems, Microsoft teams, etc. This is done with support from management, supervisory staff and I.T support personnel. Staying up to date on all communications, including management/supervisory emails, client case notes, meeting minutes, training communications, policy and procedures updates, etc. Reporting Fulfilling and communicating all relevant Incident reports, including the submittal of IIR (Internal reports) to the management team. Completing daily front-line worker responsibility logs and bed board charts. Completing all required aspects of ongoing coaching meetings and team meetings. Case Work/Facility Maintaining ongoing responsibility for primary client housing-stability planning and housing- related case work. Fulfillment of daily PSCW shift responsibility sheets Maintaining personal HIFIS account and using HIFIS system for all aspects client case work. Manage contact with professional and agency support staff PSCW staff members are responsible for moderate cleaning and upkeep of facilities and resident quarters when property services staff are not on site. PSCW staff are responsible for adhering to all tasks and responsibilities as outlined on the Front- Line worker responsibilities shift sheets. WORKING CONDITIONS: PSCW staff members work onsite at Belinda’s Place; approximately 95%. On occasion and with approval, PSCW staff have responsibility to leave premises for work related tasks (housing-related case work support, client, meeting, training, supplies purchasing, etc), approx. 5% PSCW staff members work within the facility building, and outside of the building, onsite. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS: College diploma or equivalent post-secondary formal study related to social and/or women related services work. Bachelor of Social Work is preferred. Valid Driver’s License is an asset A current VSC acceptable to the Salvation Army Experience and Skilled Knowledge Requirements Experience working with homelessness, mental health and addictions. Must have functional knowledge and understanding of women issues related to homelessness, mental health and addictions. Thorough knowledge and understanding of and a commitment to anti-racism, anti-oppression and equity. The responsibilities associated with this position demand a high degree of confidentiality Strong oral and written communication skills are essential. Word processing, Desktop Publishing, Spreadsheet/Graphing; Database computer skills are essential Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Must have good interpersonal/time management skills Good knowledge of community resources Must exhibit strong empathy, understanding and support for all vulnerable individuals, including difficult-to-serve individuals, in our service sector. Compensation: The target hiring range for this position is $20.42 to $20.42 with a maximum of $20.42. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
