Account Manager -Remote
As a key member of the Account Management team, the Account Manager will be
responsible for day-to-day business relationship between Direct Travel and key
corporate clients ensuring all commitments and obligations of the parties are
met.
Working with Direct Travel’s corporate accounts, this position strives to
improve efficiencies, create and administer travel policies, evaluate and
implement technologies, and troubleshoot issues. The Account Manager will often
interact with senior executives and the client’s Finance teams.
This role will work closely with the Canada West/Ontario Account Management team
and report to the Senior Director of Account Management.
This is a fully remote position that will require monthly in-person team
meetings in our home office in Toronto, Ontario.

Expedition Expectations
- Provides both strategic and tactical operational input that supports account
development, retention, and growth on a domestic and global basis, if
applicable
- Prepares and implements short and long range goals and objectives with a
solid business plan mutually developed with client by detailing objectives,
strategies and measurable goals
- Develops strong relationships with stakeholders beyond travel and
procurement
- Identifies incremental opportunities within existing client portfolio; sell
DT products and services realizing increased value for the client
- Works with support team to ensure consistency in product, delivery, follow
through, quality, commitment to timelines and provide high level problem
resolution -- day to day management of assigned accounts
- Support Corporate Operations, Accounting, MIS and Technology by communicating
client needs and requirements related to external services offered and
improving internal processes
- Provide formal analysis, commentary and recommendation on client’s travel
expenditure to ensure optimal communication and program needs are being met
- Adheres to, monitors, and reports on client SLA's or KPI's
- Stays abreast of industry trends, DT products and services to be able to
support client needs along with relevant benchmarks and process

- The Account Manager must possess thorough knowledge of the business travel
industry, airline and hospitality industries, and travel industry-specific

- Minimum five years industry experience.
- The Account Manager will at times be required to conduct complex
interpersonal interactions with others, troubleshoot, solve problems, make
decisions, operate independently, and work effectively under pressure.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the business travel industry, airline and
hospitality industries, and travel industry-specific automation
- Possess intermediate to advanced MS Office skills (i.e. MS Word, Excel, One
Note and Powerpoint)
- SalesForce CRM experience an asset
- Able to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously; speak, read, and
write English; possess excellent customer service, interpersonal, negotiating
and verbal/written communications skills
- Conduct complex interpersonal interactions with others, troubleshoot, solve
problems, make decisions, operate independently, and work effectively under
pressure on a regular basis Excellent relationship-building skills

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in account management, preferably in the corporate
travel industry or a related SaaS/service environment.

Strong understanding of travel program management and industry tools (GDS,
OBTs, travel reporting platforms, etc.).

Proven track record in client relationship management and revenue growth.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
-
Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable
insights.

Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple accounts and
priorities.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Travel/Hospitality, or a related field
preferred.
