The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Vice President, Principal Director for Ontario and Commercial/Industrial Market Leader will provide strategic leadership and oversight for the company's operations in Ontario. This individual will drive business development, marketing, and branding efforts while ensuring the successful execution of projects within the province.
You will be joining a growth-oriented company and are responsible for building a highly productive sales pipeline that can meet and exceed revenue and margin expectations, including the needs of our existing and new clients. Duties include profitability, growth, and retention of Clients and understanding the market influences in the Ontario region. This position requires a strong, principle centered leader. This is a future vacancy within the organization.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Accountable for driving BluMetric’s corporate sales and marketing initiatives through the Commercial and Industrial Market and understanding the market within the Ontario region.
Analyze market trends, consumer demand, and competitor activity to identify sales opportunities in the Commercial/Industrial Market. Develop and implement marketing strategies and budgets to drive growth and profitability.
Lead, coach, and motivate the commercial/industrial team to achieve revenue and margin targets. Set and monitor sales expectations and activities to ensure goals are met. Collaborate with internal teams to prepare proposals, respond to RFPs and secure new contracts.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, corporate departments, and business partners. Plan and execute sales initiatives focused on client management and retention. Work collaboratively with other Market Leaders to grow business within the Ontario region.
Develop, update, and implement business plans, including sales, financial performance, and new service development for the Commercial/Industrial Market with a focus on the Ontario region. Contribute to corporate strategic planning by providing input from a market and regional perspective.
Review and report on market performance, activities, costs, and forecasts. Adjust strategies as needed in consultation with Market and Operational leadership.
Provide leadership in sales and marketing through effective communication, coaching, training, and development opportunities for staff.
Represent the company at events and conferences to boost visibility and influence.
Oversee all company activities in Ontario, ensuring they align with overall corporate goals.
Act as the main company representative in Ontario, building strong connections with clients, partners, and industry contributors.
Serve as a bridge between Ontario teams and the wider organization, promoting collaboration and inclusion.
Qualifications, Education, and Skills:
A university degree in a relevant technical discipline, certification in business administration is an asset.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in consulting, engineering or professional services with a strong understanding of Ontario market, including 5 years of sales experience.
Strong business development and client relationship management skills.
Familiarity with Ontario’s environmental regulations, policies, and industry landscape.
Demonstrable experience of developing sales strategy and sales plans linking to the business plan with knowledge of provincial and national markets.
Expertise in motivating teams, providing training, conducting performance evaluations, and applying effective supervisory techniques. Strong leadership and team-building skills are required to effectively manage both professional and non-professional staff.
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and clients.
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite.
Well-developed problem-solving skills and ability to develop conceptual alternatives.
High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability.
Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc.
Ability to travel as required within Ontario and company offices and client events may be required as part of the role.
