We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Technician reporting to the Chassis Systems Team Leader to help us maintain and raise the manufacturing quality standards for CanAm Spyder and Skidoo chassis and exhaust systems. In this role, you will have the opportunity to be creative, innovative, and influence technical directions in the field of manufacturing processes. In addition, you will have the opportunity to develop the best strategies for analyzing and solving problems by applying sustainable solutions to the issues raised.
YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Design and purchase the tools required for the production of sheet metal components, including laser-cut parts.
Assist production during major disruptions in order to resolve immediate problems and develop permanent solutions.
Analyze current processes and suggest improvements.
Stay abreast of future technologies and industry trends to influence the evolution of in-house sheet metal processes
Influence engineering to ensure that parts are designed according to our established processes in order to guarantee the quality and productivity of these parts
Perform risk analyses of the equipment and areas under your responsibility and make the necessary corrections
YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
Mechanical engineering technician with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
Experience in a manufacturing environment will be considered an asset.
Leadership, good communication skills, and ability to work well in a team.
Initiative, autonomy, structure, and rigor.
Creativity and curiosity to develop new concepts or processes.
Knowledge of sheet metal transformation processes.
