Strategic Account Manager - Creative Services

Position Overview
We are seeking a Strategic Account Manager (SAM) to join our Creative Services team. Reporting to the Creative Services Manager & Design Lead, you will manage client relationships and guide projects from initial brief to final delivery. You’ll translate business goals into creative direction, coordinate timelines and resources, and ensure work is delivered with accuracy and efficiency. You’ll also play a strategic role in understanding client priorities, spotting opportunities to add value, and collaborating with the team to propose solutions that strengthen results and deepen partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship & Account Coordination
Act as a key point of contact for WCD Creative’s enterprise and managed-services customers
Build and maintain trusted client relationships, ensuring consistent communication and alignment on project goals
Coordinate campaign and creative initiative requests, ensuring clear scope, deliverables,
and timelines
Support client meetings and briefings, preparing notes, next steps, and project documentation
Collaborate with the Creative Services Manager (CSM) on estimates, timelines, and deliverables to ensure client satisfaction and on-time execution
Communicate project status and milestones to clients and internal stakeholders, flagging risks or delays proactively
Provide account coverage for the CSM during vacation or peak periods to maintain continuity
of client service
Project Management & Operational Support
Assist with project scheduling, intake, and tracking through WCD’s project management system (e.g., Monday.com)
Support the CSM in coordinating project resourcing across internal teams and contractors
Monitor progress on active projects to ensure timelines, budgets, and deliverables remain
on track
Help maintain and reconcile project estimates, hours, and billing information for review
by the CSM
Ensure all project documentation, assets, and approvals are organized and archived according
to WCD standards
Contribute to the improvement of processes and tools that enhance visibility and efficiency within the Creative Services team
WCD Marketing & Strategic Support
Support internal WCD marketing and brand initiatives, collaborating with the Senior Designer
and Vice President, Revenue Operations & Innovation
Coordinate timelines, content, and contractor deliverables for campaigns, events, and internal communications
Support the team in maintaining design and asset libraries, version control, and brand resources
Assist in planning and tracking projects related to WCD’s corporate brand, website,
and social content
Support leadership in special projects or business initiatives that strengthen WCD’s
creative offering
Help improve creative workflows by identifying inefficiencies and recommending system
or process enhancements
Contribution to Corporate Initiatives (10%)
Demonstrate strong team culture and work ethic consistent with WCD’s core values: teamwork, integrity, excellence, bravery, creativity, and caring
Contribute to marketing initiatives, events, and sponsorships as needed
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
5–7 years of experience in creative services, account coordination, or marketing project management
Experience working with creative or agency teams supporting enterprise-level clients
Understanding of print, digital, and large-format creative production is an asset
Strong attention to detail and quality control
Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities and timelines in a fast-paced environment
Proficient with project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Asana) and cloud-based systems (e.g., SharePoint)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Basic financial awareness to support estimates, track budgets, and verify invoices
Experience with accounting or time-tracking platforms (e.g., PACE) is an asset
Working Conditions
Located in Calgary, AB; professional, high-energy, and collaborative environment
Standard hours: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional extended hours during high-demand periods
In-office work with flexibility for remote work; currently operating remotely until April 2026 due to office renovations
