The Kenan Advantage Group Inc., (KAG), is North America’s largest tank truck transporter and logistics provider, delivering energy commodities, specialty products, merchant gases, and food products across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing & Communications Associate to join our team at KAG Canada. Vision, creativity, and an optimistic upbeat approach will need to be front and center on the successful candidate’s agenda. To be considered for this role, please ensure that you have a portfolio that demonstrates your past work in design, content creation, and writing. You must have the desire to complete both entry level and more mid-to-senior level work assignments.
About the position:
- Ongoing development and execution of our companywide communications plan that will include a social media calendar and employee collaboration on showcasing content from our people, terminals and equipment!
- Evaluation and formal reporting on our success within our communications plan
- Collaborating with our team on advertising for employment opportunities and customer facing content
- Developing internal content for cross-company TV screens (live feed boards)
- Initiating project work where required such as branding initiatives, website management, and digital content creation
- Supporting company executives and leaders as required in creating and updating documents and presentations
- Planning and overseeing company-wide events and corporate functions
- Overseeing KAG Canada’s merchandise store
What you bring:
- Formal education in marketing or communications and graphic design would be considered an asset
- Previous experience in a similar role – entry level candidates are welcome where they may have 1 – 2 years’ experience
- Ability to create content for others based on note taking and conversations
- Corporate experience creating and posting content through social platforms; META (Facebook and Instagram) and LinkedIn
- Graphic design skills utilizing Adobe Creative Cloud services; primarily Photoshop and Illustrator
- Basic experience with Canva
- Experience uploading corporate content to YouTube
- Experience with Microsoft programs; Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Forms and Publisher
- Experience, or the ability to learn, Word Press, Survey Monkey, Mailchimp, and other communication tools
- Experience creating and distributing internal and external company announcements
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Confidence and a social personality
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
