We are looking for a Laboratory Engineering Planner to join our team and play a key role in coordinating technical activities. Based on analyses prepared by laboratory project managers, you will develop effective and realistic work plans for laboratory testing and vehicle instrumentation, ensuring optimal alignment between customer needs and laboratory capabilities. Your planning and organizational expertise will enable you to support the engineering teams and contribute directly to the laboratory's performance and growth.
YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Organize and plan laboratory activities in all areas (instrumentation, electromechanics, mechanical cycling, equipment loans) by developing optimized work plans based on project manager analyses, while taking into account priorities, customer needs, and available resources.
Plan and monitor orders for parts, instrumentation availability, technicians, travel, and vehicles to ensure that laboratory tests are carried out.
Organize shipments of goods and vehicles according to internal customer requests.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the availability of vehicles, parts, and tools.
Participate in the continuous improvement of planning, logistics, and execution processes to optimize laboratory efficiency.
YOU WILL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
DEC in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, operations management, or a related field;
1 to 3 years of experience in planning, coordination, or operations management in a technical or industrial environment.
Proficiency in planning tools (ERP, advanced Excel, project management software) and familiarity with laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and mechanical or electromechanical testing (an asset).
Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Collaborative spirit and ability to work as part of a team with different departments.
Internal customer focus, with a sense of service and effective communication.
