Job Title: Accounting Team Lead
Job Description
This role involves supervising and coaching a team of accountants to meet the Shared Service Center's (SSC) activities and service levels. You will oversee full-cycle accounting tasks including reconciliations, journal entries, intercompany transactions, and financial statement preparation. You will serve as a subject matter expert for SSC accounting processes, providing guidance and training. Additionally, you will develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and training materials. Reporting and data analytics to support KPI reporting and ad hoc analysis are also part of the role. You will act as a backup for teams when needed, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with company controls and policies. Supporting the Global ERP rollout and global shared services transition projects is also expected.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coach a team of accountants to achieve SSC’s activities and service levels.
Oversee full-cycle accounting including reconciliations, journal entries, intercompany transactions, financial statement preparation, Oracle Fusion period close, and audit support.
Serve as a subject matter expert for SSC accounting processes, providing guidance and training.
Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and training materials.
Conduct reporting and data analytics to support KPI reporting and ad hoc analysis.
Step in as backup for teams as needed.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with company controls and policies.
Support Global ERP rollout (Oracle Fusion) for SSC processes.
Support global shared services transition projects as needed.
Essential Skills
Strong knowledge in accounting and project accounting.
Experience with master data management and reconciliation.
Proficient in month-end and year-end close processes.
Tech-savvy with expertise in Oracle or SAP.
Ability to perform full cycle accounting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Visio and process mapping.
Understanding of IFRS standards.
Shared service experience.
Proven ability to handle intercompany transactions and financial statement preparations.
Work Environment
The position requires flexibility as meetings with international teams, such as those in Australia, may occur early in the morning or late in the evening. Over time work is covered. Initially, the role will be hybrid with four days in the office during the three-month probationary period, transitioning to hybrid or full-time in-person as needed. Travel requirements are 20% or more, with possible trips to Indonesia for shared service tasks. The role reports to the Global Accounting Manager.
