Who are you?
If you are, pro-active and you have a ‘can do’ attitude/ outstanding problem-solving skills (seeing challenges not problems), thinking outside the box, and you are interested in financial services environment and financial markets you will likely be a good fit in our team.
Main requirements:
- 5 years of experience on Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) listed and distributed in Canada, with equity brokers, banks and financial advisors. You have an overall understanding of the ETFs industry in the United States. You are familiar with pure indexing business, dedicated to players such as structured products issuers.
A post-secondary education in a relevant field (Business, Financial degree or similar)
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written & verbal.
You have a quick eye for detail (keen observational skills)
A customer service profile with a strong commitment to providing value-added services to demanding, high profile customers
Passionate about building and maintaining customer relationships with decision makers
Technical understanding and autonomy is a must-have
Business travel is required (monthly throughout Canada, and once to twice a year in the US or Paris, France)
Able to work within the company group’s requirements and regional team
Good time management and excellent organizational and prioritising skills
Fluent in English written and oral. A second language such as French would be an asset
Based in Toronto, Canada. Frequent travels to Montreal (clients) and Ottawa (our Canadian office)
What will we do together?
You will join our Trading Central Financial Products (TCFP) team to manage existing relationship with tier-1 distributors and open new distributors for our ETFs suite. You will lead our outsourced team based in Toronto, and will manage the retail marketing push.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Engaging proactively with our existing clients on a regular basis to improve the relationship, diversify the nature of business streams from existing to include TCFP, and increase our placement capacity (through rebate, free brokerage etc) to develop Assets under Management (AuM).
On-board and support your clients / new clients (distributors, retail flow aggregators, and buy-side entities in general) throughout their client journey.
Leading the outsourced Toronto-based team (3 people), dedicated to Trading Central and focusing on financial advisers: education, training, monitoring, adapting sales+product mix strategy where need be, and reporting. Proactively take action to improve efficiency.
Managing the local retail marketing budget and initiatives, being public conference, advertising campaigns, press, and beyond.
Ensuring the relationship with our Canadian third-party white-label asset manager (based in Toronto) in charge of issuance, listing and liquidity provision of our ETFs suite.
Liaise with Ottawa-based team, in particular sales, research and marketing, and with the TCFP European sales team.
Proposing new strategies, investment themes, or ETFs local features, based on client feedback and your personal experience.
Keeping an eye to the competition: products, pricing, management fee, MER…
Maintaining and updating client records in our CRM systems.
Assisting clients and escalate their queries to the relevant departments.
Reporting and coordinating to and with the Head of Financial Products.
