Your opportunity:
As the Property and Facilities Coordinator, you will ensures an efficient facilities operation in the residences by providing administrative support to the Manager Operations - Residences, with facilities related functions of caretaking and maintenance. This position also assists in identifying major and minor infrastructure and maintenance projects of the three UC Residences through regular inspections, communication with manager, and planning, and scheduling of these projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Determining logistical details required to provide provisional facilities support during events
- Checking that work orders are completed appropriately
- Scheduling the setup and takedown of equipment required for events
- Coordinating and communicating work being performed on facilities to minimize disruptions to daily operations
- Handling minor repairs
- Conducting routine building inspections
- Liaising with clients to resolve minor complaints and address issues
- Analyzing service delivery and/or internal processes and recommending improvements
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in facilities management in a post-secondary residential or community residential setting conducting building administration and maintenance duties.
- Experience with supervising unionized staff.
- Experience with managing, tracking and verifying budgets.
- Demonstrated superior organization skills, including logistics of special events.
- Demonstrated experience in Health and Safety issues, Fire Prevention, Emergency Planning and Emergency Response.
- Responding to urgent issues, emergencies and coordinating repairs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication skills.

USW Pay Band 10 -- $72,119. with an annual step progression to a maximum of $92,226. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
