Position Overview: This temporary position will support the HR team during a temporary leave of absence, providing key administrative support for the Town's workplace Health & Safety Management System. Key work will include; coordinating completion of identified Audit Action Plan tasks, maintaining and updating health & safety program documents and data & statistics, providing support to the Health & Safety Committee, researching information as needed, reviewing and maintaining Health & safety Boards across all Town, maintaining the Health & Safety Sharepoint site, publishing an updated annual leader health & safety checklist, supporting the HR Manager with departmental health & safety program, preparing health & safety related communications, entering and reporting on corporate health & safety training records, and purchasing health & safety training codes. This role also involves researching, tracking, and compiling data and reports, and offering direct support to the HR Manage for the HR departmental health & safety program.
Education & Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Office Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, or legal studies – asset
While direct education and experience with occupational health & safety is not required for this role, it is highly preferred.
Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License – required
Experience:
2 years of related experience in an office administration environment - required
Advanced computer skills and proficiency, specifically in the use of Office 365 (particularly Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook) – required
Strong administrative experience in a digital work environment – required
Working with legislation - required
Proven organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and changing priorities – required
Efficiency and accuracy with handling detail-oriented tasks – required
Experience working with confidential information – required
Strong written, oral, and conflict resolution skills – required
Salary & Benefits:
Pay Range- $33.84 to $37.82 per hour. Compensation will be calculated based on the successful candidate’s related work experience and education
This is a full-time temporary position (35 hours per week) for 3 months
