The Maritime Link transmits energy between the island of Newfoundland to Nova Scotia. The opportunity:
We are currently looking for a Manager, Commercial and Contract Compliance to join our Emera Newfoundland and Labrador Regulatory team. Reporting to the General Counsel & VP, Business Development, the Manager will be responsible for collaborating with members of ENL to ensure assigned regulatory initiatives are completed accurately and on time.
Accountabilities:
Lead financial analysis for Regulatory capital filings.
Conduct forensic reviews as required for key regulatory and commercial matters by working with internal team members and external counsel.
Monitor commercial obligations and lead any analysis or follow-up to ensure overall compliance.
Assist as required with other key Regulatory filings, including Assessments.
Assist with ad-hoc analyses and respond to data requests from stakeholders within specified timelines.
Ability to understand business risks, challenges and recognize opportunities for process improvements.
Qualifications and Experience:
A Bachelor’s Degree in business (economics, finance, commerce) or equivalent experience is required in this role.
Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience.
Ability to manage multiple, complex, long-term projects with flexibility to achieve outcomes within strict timeframes is vital to this position.
Possesses a track record in fostering effective working relationships with colleagues and external contacts to achieve company priorities.
Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
Strong oral communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex concepts to senior leaders and leadership objectives to project teams.
Forensic investigation experience is considered a plus.
