POSITION SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Supervisor – Parks North, assists with the day-to-day management of the campground operation at Trowbridge.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Registers all vehicles and campers, collects appropriate fees, and assigns sites.
Undertakes routine checks of campsites to inspect vacancies, cleanliness, and behaviour of occupants.
Opens and closes the facility and liaises with contract security on a daily basis.
Processes payments, prepares deposits, and reconciles transactions from the campground and store.
Maintains prescribed records, including the registration system and security.
Reports campsite or cabin maintenance issues to designated staff.
Performs other duties as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
Secondary school diploma
Post-secondary education and/or experience in business or customer service would be an asset
Skills/Abilities:
Ability to accurately perform mathematical calculations
Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively with the public
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide courteous and helpful service to the public
Ability to use a computer and applicable software to input, edit, and retrieve information
Ability to work independently and cooperatively with others
Strong analytical and organizational skills
A working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act as it applies to this work
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends
Must undergo a successful Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC)
