POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Supervisor – Golf Services, performs cash handling duties related to the sale of green fees, season passes and to the provision of other services. Facilitates the operation of the golf course tee off reservation system.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collects and secures revenues from the sale of green fees, season passes, merchandise sales (i.e. alcoholic beverages), rentals and the provision of other services.
Reconciles daily revenues and completes appropriate forms according to cash handling policies.
Implements the Tee Off Reservation System in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Communicates and enforces golf course policies, rules and procedures.
Receives and responds to customer inquiries, comments and suggestions.
Monitors merchandise inventory and rental equipment. Checks condition of rental equipment on issue and return.
Performs light house keeping duties as necessary to maintain cleanliness of clubhouse.
Prepares records and reports as required.
Liaises with grounds crew on a regular basis.
Opens and closes the clubhouse building and compounds as directed.
Performs Starter duties as required.
Performs such other duties as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
Minimum age of 18
Current certifications: Ontario Smart Serve
Must be knowledgeable/experienced in the game of golf
Related cash handling experience an asset
Skills/Abilities:
Ability to deal effectively with public and staff in a friendly, courteous manner is essential
Must be eligible for bonding
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT:
Must undergo a successful Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC)
