Senior Accountant -- Multi-Unit Hospitality/Retail Experience Required
Are you an experienced Senior Accountant looking to join a fast-growing, dynamic company in the hospitality/retail industry? This role offers the opportunity to be part of an expanding team and contribute to the financial success of a multi-location business.
As a key member of the Finance team, you'll be responsible for financial reporting, month-end processes, reconciliations, and financial analysis . The role requires a strong analytical mindset, hospitality/retail accounting expertise, and the ability to streamline financial operations while working cross-functionally with other teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate financial statements and provide insights on financial trends.
- Perform variance analysis, forecasting, and support budget preparation.
- Manage intercompany transactions and ensure proper reconciliations.
- Oversee payroll accounting, including reporting, journal postings, and accruals.
- Handle sales tax filings and compliance, assisting with audits as needed.
- Optimize financial data, processes, and reporting tools for greater efficiency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to provide data-driven financial insights.
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
- Hospitality or retail industry experience required , particularly in a multi-unit/location business.
- CPA designation (or in progress) preferred.
- Strong Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Experience with ERP systems (cloud-based preferred).
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate financial data into business insights.
