++Senior Property Accountant - Midtown Toronto (hybrid role)++
Compensation Package: $90,000-$100,000 + Annual Bonus + Benefits Package 100% Employer Paid for Single and Family Plans + $500 Annual Wellness Bonus (gym/photography etc.) + Annual CPA Dues Paid + 15 Vacation Days + 3 Personal Days + 6 Health Days + RSP Plan
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly/quarterly reporting packages (including financial statements, work papers, and supporting schedules)
- Intercompany charge backs
- GST/HST/QST reconciliations
- Bank reconciliations, tenant's account reconciliation, and assist with collection process
- Preparation of annual final CAM and Tax billing/lease review
- Month-end/recurring journal entries
- Preparation of annual budget
- Preparation of annual year-end audit working papers and liaison with auditors during field work period
- Preparation of tenant/vendor chargebacks as needed
- Liaise with Property Managers and Asset Managers regarding related accounting matters
- Cash flow management and cash calls, when required
- Assist with acquisition and disposition analysis and preparation of closing statement of adjustments, when necessary
Requirements:
- Post-secondary accounting education, combined with pursuing a professional designation CPA is an asset.
- At least 3+ years of experience in Property Accounting -- commercial portfolio or at a Senior Accountant within a CA firm and looking to transition into and industry focused role.
- Ability to review work of other peer accountants in a timely manner and provide coaching and mentoring.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize/manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a demanding work environment.
- Good communication skills with the ability to write detailed reports and communicate well with senior management.
- Excellent computer skills with a proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word, and accounting software packages.
