Mackenzie Stuart is partnered with a leading innovator in the semiconductor industry seeking a Staff RF IC Engineer. This key role involves designing and developing next-generation wireless IC solutions for mobile edge, infrastructure, and aerospace applications. Key Responsibilities:Lead integrated IC system design for wireless communication chips using GaN, GaAs, BULK CMOS, SOI CMOS, and SiGe BiCMOS processes.
Conduct IC simulations utilizing Cadence, ADS, and HFSS design environments. Develop design schematics and oversee simulation processes while ensuring RF \& analog layout methodologies are followed. Apply advanced RF circuit techniques and architectures, including LNA, Mixer, Phase Shifter, PA, Driver, and VGA.Engage in IC testing and evaluation, collaborating with customers to meet performance requirements.
Foster professional relationships within design teams to ensure project success. Qualifications:Masters or higher in Electrical Engineering and Electromagnetics; Ph. D. preferred. Minimum of 5 years of industrial experience in RFIC design preferred.
Experience with RF/RF IC test equipment is essential. Familiarity with large-scale phased array transceiver architecture or beamforming techniques is an advantage. Proficient in EM simulation software (e.g., Ansoft HFSS, Sonnet, WIPL-D, CST).
Solid understanding of microelectronics, analog circuit design (H-SPICE, Laker ADP), mixed-mode circuit design (Cadence Virtuoso, Verilog), and digital VLSI systems (Verilog HDL, ADS)Location:Candidate must be based in, or willing to relocate to, Vancouver, Canada.
