Role Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate the field workforce and support staff for both new installation and modernization projects.
- Plan and assign work based on project timelines and priorities; ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards.
- Ensure all safety procedures are followed in accordance with company policy and provincial legislation (Health \& Safety Act).
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and ensure preventive actions are implemented.
- Conduct weekly job box talks and monitor on-site performance.
- Oversee project execution and provide technical support as needed.
- Liaise with property managers, general contractors, consultants, and customers to maintain positive relationships and ensure satisfaction.
- Monitor job progress, address issues proactively, and ensure timely project completion.
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and training of field personnel.
- Support union-related matters, administer policies, and foster strong labor relations.
- Maintain proper utilization of manpower, tools, and materials across NI and MOD projects.
- Provide input and feedback for project improvement and process optimization.
- Keep up to date with evolving industry technologies and modernization techniques.
- Take ownership of issues, provide solutions, and ensure exceptional customer service.
Role Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the construction or related industry, including supervisory or managerial roles.
• Strong technical background in systems, with experience in both new installations and modernization.
• Recognized certification in Electrical or Mechanical discipline preferred, or equivalent combination of field experience and technical knowledge.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interpret technical documents and specifications.
• Proficient in basic business software (e.g., MS Office).
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Previous experience working in unionized environments is an asset.
