Niles Iron \& Metal is hiring a Business Implementation Manager!
This role will lead the execution of business initiatives across multiple sites, driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and cultural transformation, while serving as a key support partner to the Niles Iron \& Metal President.
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or related fields, or a combination of education and equivalent years of experience.
- 5-8 years experience in an operations management role leading teams and projects
- Previous leadership experience and demonstrated ability to motivate, manage and develop a team or direct reports
- Strong project management skills, including project scope development, resource management, budgeting, and timely execution and implementation of plans
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to various audiences
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering actionable solutions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to analyze data to identify metrics that successfully drive the business
- Demonstrated flexibility in leading both administrative and operational activities, transitioning between strategic and hands-on work as needed.
Preferred experience:
- Experience leading and developing direct reports
- Experience leading large-scale transformation, business operations, or technology/process improvement projects
- Experience identifying metal composition, scale operation, and scrap yard operations.
- Experience using RIMAS (Shared Logic) operating system.
What you'll focus on:
- Work directly with the President to implement business initiatives across the Niles business locations
- Lead long-term operational planning efforts, including initiatives focused on achieving operational excellence
- Develop and implement continuous improvement processes to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of daily operations
- Create and execute detailed project plans to support business initiatives, including scope, budget, resource allocation, and timelines.
- Provide regular, detailed reporting to key stakeholders and executive leadership, ensuring visibility and accountability on project status and progress
- Develop operational expertise in core business functions, including pricing and selling industrial loads, inventory reconciliation, and directing daily operations.
- Lead and complete tasks assigned by the President, taking on responsibilities of the President as needed
- Serve as a management lead for daily yard operations and direct employees as needed to ensure a smooth operation
- Follow Environmental, Quality and Safety Management System procedures and requirements.
