Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing quality meals in a fast-paced environment while adhering to food safety standards. This position requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety procedures.
- Participate in menu planning and development as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- A passion for meal preparation and creativity in cooking is a plus.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as necessary.
