As we expand, we are seeking a Project Coordinator to support a critical Health \& Safety Project.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Project Coordinator to assist with the planning, execution, and monitoring of a province-wide health and safety initiative. You will work closely with project managers, field teams, and key stakeholders to ensure deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the day-to-day coordination of health and safety project activities across multiple sites in Ontario.
- Prepare project documentation, schedules, status reports, and meeting minutes.
- Assist with the development, distribution, and tracking of health and safety training materials.
- Coordinate communication between internal teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and compliance to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Identify potential risks and assist in the development of mitigation strategies.
- Maintain organized records for audits, inspections, and reporting requirements.
- Support project managers with data collection, analysis, and presentation development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Project Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Mechanical Engineering , Industrial Engineering , or a related field.
- 2 years of project coordination experience, preferably in health and safety, industrial sectors.
- Knowledge of Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and related regulations is an asset.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, or similar).
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- PMP or CAPM certification is considered an asset but not required.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within the province.
