Position Summary
- Assist in the day to day operations of the Parking and Security Office
- Foster excellent client relations and promote a professional image for the hospital
- Daily liaise with the hospital's third-party parking vendors and where needed replace third-party parking staff in their office.
- Review and reconcile all correspondence from our third-party vendors and departments
- Manage parking and access control at multiple sites
- Maintain and reconcile an extensive parking permit database and security access control system
- Issue, maintain and cancel parking cards, permits and vouchers
- Issue, maintain and cancel ID badges and access cards
- Assist with creating and the preparation and maintenance of various related databases, documents and reports
- Prepare or verify daily and summary reports of parking facility usage and other manager requested high level reports
- Filing, sorting, order supplies and other clerical duties
- Order and maintain signage inventory
- Request service for equipment issues and follow up
- Administer, maintain and reconcile GRT Corporate Bus Pass
- Answer telephone inquiries, email and in-person inquiries and requests, greeting staff and hospital patients
- Must be thoroughly familiar with the parking polices in order to maintain compliance with parking rules and regulations
- Handle extremely difficult complaints and public relations problems and offer resolutions
- Investigate and process parking refunds and reimbursements
- Use of POS system: sell parking, process transactions, issue receipts and provide settlement to Finance
- Use of computer system to access ESP, INFOR, Card Management System, SharePoint and Microsoft Office
- Assist with Department scheduling and payroll as required
- Other duties as required
Position Requirements
- Post-secondary diploma in business administration or related field is required, or equivalent combination of education and administrative experience may be considered
- Experience working in a parking business setting is preferred
- Experience, knowledge and proficient use of computers and Microsoft Office
- Advanced or proficient Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to create databases and data sheets
- Advanced report writing skills
- Ability to prepare requisitions for payment
- Must have knowledge of computerized record keeping
- Excellent typing skills required (min 60-70 words per minute)
- Organizational skills to perform multiple tasks in a very busy environment
- Tactful communication skills when working with the public and dealing with complaints
- Good attendance record
- Must be able to travel cross campuses when required
