About You:
What You'll Do:
- Coordinate daily laboratory operations, including inventory management, ordering, and receiving of supplies, reagents, and consumables.
- Maintain laboratory organization, cleanliness, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Support equipment maintenance schedules, calibration, and service requests, ensuring all instruments are operational and documented.
- Assist with the preparation and tracking of laboratory documentation, including SOPs, safety records, and quality control logs.
- Facilitate onboarding and training for new laboratory staff on safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Act as a liaison between scientific teams, facilities, and external vendors to resolve logistical and operational issues.
- Monitor and manage the disposal of laboratory waste in accordance with regulatory and environmental guidelines.
- Support the implementation and improvement of laboratory processes to increase efficiency and compliance.
- Contribute to a culture of safety, respect, and collaboration within the laboratory and across teams.
- Participate in regular lab meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in life science, chemistry, biotechnology, or related field, or equivalent professional laboratory experience.
- 2+ years of experience in a laboratory operations, laboratory management, or related support role, preferably in a biotech, diagnostics, or clinical laboratory environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with proven ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety standards, regulatory requirements (e.g., WHMIS, OSHA, CLIA, ISO 13485), and good laboratory practices (GLP).
- Proficiency with inventory management systems, MS Excel, and basic data entry and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- High attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing operational needs.

- Experience supporting laboratories in a regulated environment (e.g., medical device, diagnostics, or pharmaceutical industry).
- Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
