Reporting to the Director of HR, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will align S\&C's people strategy with its business objectives. This individual will coach and partner with leaders to identify and address people issues relevant to the business, providing innovative HR solutions to support current and future needs. The HRBP will work with line managers to set priorities, promote values, and achieve KPIs in Engagement, Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC).
Duties \& Responsibilities
- Align HR initiatives with business strategy and priorities.
- Participate in workforce planning to ensure the workforce has the right size, skills, and costs.
- Engage in succession planning to develop key talent for critical roles.
- Guide and advise on HR policies, practices, and processes.
- Coach leaders to handle team member matters effectively.
- Manage HR programs related to talent management, employee engagement, development, and relations.
- Identify gaps in performance and organizational structure, driving change management initiatives.
- Resolve conflicts, foster positive relations, and improve morale to reduce turnover.
- Ensure compliance with policies, employment standards, and human rights laws.
- Conduct investigations and recommend solutions for complaints of unfair treatment, harassment, or discrimination.
- Lead interventions to improve engagement, well-being, and productivity.
- Guide performance management, mentoring, and career planning for leaders.
- Advocate for team members and represent their concerns in leadership meetings.
- Collaborate on innovative talent acquisition strategies.
- Analyze performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
- Implement reward and recognition initiatives to boost results and engagement.
- Represent S\&C at internal and external events.
- Monitor market trends and recommend changes to maintain competitiveness.
- Partner with global HR and business units on organizational development and projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, commerce, HR, psychology, or related field.
- 5 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in lean manufacturing.
- Experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, talent management, rewards, etc.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, influencing, and consulting skills.
- Excellent communication skills with diverse populations.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS (Oracle HCM); payroll knowledge is an asset.
- Fluency in additional languages and ability to travel internationally are assets.
- Certified HR Professional is an asset.
Work Arrangement: Onsite with flexibility (4 days WFO)
Physical Effort: Normal or minor physical effort; may involve standing, sitting, walking, lifting objects up to 20 lbs.
