Unposting Date: 2025-06-16 11:59 PM Your role This position is based in Lévis. This posting is to fill 2 positions. Reporting to the Senior Manager, News and Programming, you will work as a reporter based in Lévis. Adhering to the CBC/Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices, you will develop your own stories covering news and current events in Lévis and the Chaudière-Appalaches region. In this role, you will work on multiple platforms as needed — digital, radio and television — to provide daily news coverage with clarity, depth, originality and accuracy. You must also be able to work well in a team and on several stories at once, have strong organizational skills and be an excellent writer. You must maintain a large network of contacts, pitch ideas related to Lévis and Chaudière-Appalaches affairs, find stories with high public impact and provide follow-up reporting. What You Bring Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Three years’ journalism experience or equivalent. At least two years’ relevant on-air experience (writing digital articles, doing live radio hits, producing video reports). Skills: Good general and current-events knowledge. Solid command of writing and story research techniques. Creative, enterprising and inquisitive approach to chasing stories. Very good knowledge of Lévis, the Chaudière-Appalaches region and the region’s key players. Solid command of spoken and written French (working language) and outstanding spelling and grammar; advanced oral and writing proficiency. Good communication skills. Ability to work well under pressure to tight deadlines. Ability to work well in a team or independently and be resourceful. Excellent attitude and work ethic. Strong personal initiative and independence in creating digital content. Social media knowledge. Demonstrated knowledge of and adherence to CBC/Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices.
