Golden West Baking is an English muffin and Bun products manufacturing located in Anacis Island. The position is full-time and will be scheduled for a 12 hours/day GY shift (7:30pm to 7:30am), Wed to Sat/Thurs to Sat schedule Reports to: Supervisor Dress Code: White Uniform and steel toe shoes __ Functions: Assists Packaging Area Operators and fills in for breaks on Take-off positions. Duties and Responsibilities on all Shifts Maintain adequate supply of boxes, trays, pallets (skids), carts and other supplies as requested by the take-off Team Members. Call shipper if required something off of the racking. Stack boxes or trays on pallets (skids) or carts. Tag pallets (skids) for shipping. Wrap pallets (skids) correctly. Move completed pallets and carts to designated staging areas. Keeps Muffin shipping areas clean and organized. Assist with rebagging product manually as needed. Adhere strictly to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) outlined for working in a food processing plant. Assist in general cleaning of machinery and plant facility as assigned when production is stopped. Assist shipper with unloading empty trays from trailers. Assist Take-off Operators with breaking down tray stacks. Fill in defect sheet for any machinery malfunction with power jack and lifts, give them to Coordinator. Work under the direction of the Muffin Line Bagger Operator. Work as a team and cooperate with your fellow team members at all times. Remove any full large waste bins from the area, return empty ones. Report any product loss, time loss, QA issues, or Machine problems to the Shift Supervisor. Organizational Skills Physically able to lift and handle up to 25 kg weights Working Conditions and Physical Effort: Able to work in fast paced, high pressure environment Able to physically lift 25kg weight Able to work in a warm environment (uniform, safety and work attire provided by employer) Work involves daily exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, humidity, darkness, and/or noise.
