We are looking for an Emissions/CO2 Team Leader reporting to the Certification Manager to help us implement CO2 emission reduction strategies. In this role, you will be at the forefront of efforts to improve the environmental impact of vehicles and promote more sustainable BRP engineering.
YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Design and improve processes for collecting data on pollutant emissions and CO2.
Analyze data and identify trends in CO2 and fuel consumption.
Participate in the development of environmentally-friendly technologies to reduce the carbon footprint in use.
Collaborate with engineering teams (vehicle, engine, transmission...) to implement innovative solutions and strategies to reduce CO2 emissions.
Manage the activities and priorities of the team of certification technicians.
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
Bachelor's degree in engineering linked to a thorough understanding of basic principles related to internal combustion engines and parameters influencing fuel consumption.
Proficiency in the analysis of fuel consumption data, including the collection, processing and interpretation of both Coast down and dynamometer data.
Ability to use modeling and simulation tools to assess the impact of changes/reduction assumptions on CO2 emissions and consumption.
Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders outside Quebec on a daily basis and to read technical and regulatory documentation not available in French.
