Job Number: JR103139 Job Title: Principal Trainer, Epic Department: EO ENHANCE Ontario - PMO-Training Job Category: Professional Hospital Location: EO Head Office Job Type: Permanent, Full time Contract Duration: 6 months Number of Positions: 1 Hours: Days, Afternoons Enabling Healthcare Across Networks of Central East (ENHANCE) Ontario (also referred to here as “EO”) is a not-for-profit corporate entity which will provide centralized IT services to its seven (7) member hospitals (Campbellford Memorial Hospital, Haliburton Highlands Health Services, Lakeridge health, Northumberland Hills Hospital, Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Ross Memorial Hospital, and Scarborough Health Network) to manage and operate a set of shared digital assets. This will enable its 7 member hospitals across 14 sites to deliver high quality and safe patient care using the shared Epic Clinical Information System (“CIS”) to over 1.5 million patients residing in both rural and urban communities located in the Central East region of Ontario. Job Description: Responsibilities: • Developing role-based training content, independently or with team members, using a variety of software programs, tools, and applications (such as Microsoft Office) • Designing, developing and maintaining instructional materials • Maintaining policy and procedure documentation • Incorporating feedback from others into existing training and training administration procedures • Learning new content and consulting with subject matter experts to develop training materials and answer any participant questions • Training and credentialing local CTs as needed • Collaborating with other regional PTs • Preparing training lessons, printing materials, and setting up the training room and environment prior to the training session • Presenting information verbally and in writing in a clear and easy-to-understand manner • Managing projects by prioritizing projects and by creating and adhering to timelines • Supporting the regional team analysts on triaging and discussing the tickets when needed • Supporting the regional team analysts on issue resolution, workflow optimization, and end users communication when needed Requirements: • Previous training or operations experience with Epic preferred • Epic certification in the relevant application preferred • Ability to identify and communicate operational issues and drive the resolution of issues in an effective manner which also ensures high end user satisfaction • Ability to handle complex problems and provide highly innovative and creative solutions that will achieve high quality business/clinical outcomes • Strong understanding of workflows and procedures related to relevant applications.• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to logically examine a problem and determine the root cause and course of action • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate information clearly and concisely with project leadership and stakeholders • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with internal and external stakeholders • Ability and willingness to learn new software, systems, and processes • Highly reliable, able to persevere in difficult situations, overcome obstacles and work under time pressures Accommodation and Diversity Statement: Scarborough Health Network (SHN) embraces and celebrates our community’s unique multicultural heritage and diversity.
