Hiring Unit: School of Physical and Occupational Therapy Course Title and Course Number: POTH-455 Neurophysiology Estimated Number of Positions: 2 Total Hours of Work per Term: TA 1: 50 hours TA 2: 75 hours Dates: Aug 27, 2025 – Dec 19, 2025 (tentative) Job Description: TA 1: 50 hours - Respond to student queries pertaining to course logistics (due dates, MyCourses, managing the questions on the discussion board, seminar scheduling) - Coordinating and evaluation of the midterm and quizzes (i.e.: answering questions, marking) TA 2: 75 hours Under the supervision and in collaboration with the course coordinators, the TA will lead some small group discussions. The TA is expected to attend all classes and must therefore be available in the last hour of the scheduled class time. Specific tasks include: - Coordinating and evaluation of the group projects (i.e.: answering questions, marking the written projects and evaluating the oral presentations) - -Coordinate and organize student participation reflections weekly - Meetings with students to review assignments -Administrative tasks related involving organization of groups, postings to and use of MyCourses - Respond to student queries pertaining to course logistics (due dates, MyCourses, seminar scheduling) - Participates in the evaluation of students in the course. - Facilitate small group discussions Salary: $37.34/hour Desired Major(s): Relevant to position Desired Degree Level: Masters & Grad Dips & Certs Qualifications: Current Masters or Doctoral student at McGill. Graduate teaching experience is preferred and an asset.
