The Role POSITION: PROJECT MANAGER (NON-UNION) DIVISION: APPLICATION & CONSULTING SERVICES MANAGER: NELSON ALVES LOCATION: REGINA, SK The Project Manager leads strategic, complex and multi-disciplinary projects and is responsible for ensuring the organization achieves its strategic objectives through the successful delivery of solutions. This role focuses on achieving organizational benefits and creating value through the work of the project team(s). Accountable for the success of assigned projects, the Project Manager is responsible for activities that include but are not limited to: planning and executing projects, developing project cost structures, tracking and reporting on deliverables, managing risk, contracts and applying program management processes and tools. Note: the preferred work location for this position is Regina, SK; however, the work location will also be dependent on the location of the successful candidate. RESPONSIBILITIES: · Maintain and manage relationships at the senior level of the customer organization. · Communicate the objectives of project(s)/program(s) to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring buy-in from relevant parties. · Nurture customer relationships and maintains customer satisfaction and the goals of the organization. · Identify and achieve the long-term goals and objectives to ensure the success of the project. · Manage risk through risk identification and implementation of remedial/corrective actions. · Ensure that project activities operate within the policies and procedures of the organization and comply with all relevant and professional standards. · Develop and manage projects; set goals, create and implement action plans, and evaluate processes and results. · Write and submit reports related to project activities in a timely manner, gathering stakeholder input as required. · Identify and evaluate risks associated with the project activities; take action to control risks or escalates for assistance as required. · Determine strategies that will enable the organization to move forward. · Develop new initiatives that support the strategic direction of the organization. · Responsible for the success of cross-functional teams, may have direct reports and works in a matrix environment leading project teams to success. · May organize, direct, develop and manage Project Manager(s) and project support team member(s) and functions. · Work with a wide range of teams and readily share information and lessons learned. · Enable project/program performance related to budget, task schedules, and costs. · Forecast requirements related to strategic projects, prepare project budgets, analyze variances and initiate corrective actions as required. · Ensure that the project/program operates within the approved budget and achieves all defined benefits. · Monitor and approve all budgeted project/program expenditures. Who You Are QUALIFICATIONS: · University Degree or diploma in Business Administration, Computer Science or relevant discipline. · PMP® (Project Management Professional) certification · At least 7 to 10 years of project management experience, and demonstrated ability to meet project timelines and realize benefits · Solid understanding of multiple project management methodologies including agile & scrum and ability to coach others in the use of the same · Proficient with project management tools, including JIRA and Microsoft Project · Experience delivering software development and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software implementation projects, such as CRM or ERP · Experience delivering infrastructure projects including but not limited to: workload cloud migration, Microsoft 365 implementation, and SD-WAN and network transition and transformation projects · Agile and Scrum certifications preferred · Experience implementing large systems with complex stakeholder and customer settings · Demonstrated ability to focus on customer needs by anticipating, understanding and responding to the needs of internal and external customers to meet or exceed their expectations within the organizational construct · Demonstrated ability to lead and positively influence others to achieve results that meet the organization’s strategic objectives and/or are in the best interests of the organization · Demonstrated ability to solve problems by assessing root cause, gather and implement remedial actions · Advanced administrative and organizational skills · Solid financial acumen and ability to compose and disseminate program related financial statements · Specific industry knowledge related to the product / services that assigned projects relate to. KEY SKILLS & ABILITIES: · Proven experience managing and/or delivering similar services with increasing degree of responsibility and proven track record with the ability to execute according to plan · Experience should include high impact service delivery in a rapid paced, time sensitive, high quality environment · Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to develop and communicate a vision that inspires and motivates staff and aligns with ISM’s business strategy · Experience developing business relationships as well as managing and maintaining customer relationships *Note: This role may involve working with technology that is covered by US and/or Canadian Embargo Export Regulations; therefore all applicants will be subject to additional security screening requirements.
