The Opportunity The Group Disability department is looking for a self-motivated, collaborative, knowledgeable individual to join their team as a Senior Program Management Specialist. This role requires interaction with Disability Operations teams to support the plan sponsor trend reporting and analysis as well as oversight with the various case management teams. Another component of this role requires completion of customized responses required for new Absence, Wellness and Disability Management business and amendment proposals. The last key component is presenting the trend report findings to clients and building action items to improve their disability experience. This role will also participate in finalist presentations, and in responding to internal inquiries and requests for reports/meetings via a shared inbox. The Senior Program Management Specialist role is a key contributor in the delivery of these services supporting the Disability teams (Consultants and Operations). It is wide-ranging in scope and therefore requires a broad skill-set and subject matter expertise in all key deliverables. Strong background and experience working within our Absence and Disability business (AMCS, STD, LTD) is required. Responsibilities: Trend Reporting and Analysis (40%) – Produce monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc reports to provide expert analysis and recommendations to Plan Sponsors regarding Disability Program performance. Requires interaction with Disability Operations as well as the assigned DMC to explain metrics/ results and facilitate discussion of recommendations to improve results. Proposal Activity and Finalist presentation support (35%) – Active participation in the proposal process by preparing content and responses for new or existing business for services covered in Group Life and Disability Operations. Client meetings, Implementation support, financially challenged client support (25%) – Support DMC in preparing for client meetings as well as attend and present trend reports to smaller clients, help the DMC with the implementation of large clients, analysis of financially challenged clients. Must have experience in presenting sensitive information to clients and comfortable with public speaking Demonstrated problem solving skills Highly developed analytical, organizational and decision-making skills Demonstrated customer service excellence and ability to prioritize work effectively under tight deadlines Ability to maintain & develop positive and effective relationships with various cross functional teams (underwriters, Operations, Marketing, Pre-Sales) Ability to influence and negotiate with both internal & external partners Demonstrated Experience in client management Self-motivated Attention to detail Excellent PC skills – including Word, Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
