Job Description: We are looking for a Full-Time Porter to join our property management at Onni! What You Will Do: Property Cleaning & Upkeep Daily Cleaning of Common Areas: Maintain high-traffic areas, interior and exterior, including lobbies, hallways, lounges, and laundry rooms, through sweeping, mopping, dusting, arranging furniture, litter pickup, and disinfecting. Window and Glass Cleaning: Regularly clean interior and exterior windows, glass doors, and mirrors to ensure clear, streak-free surfaces. Laundry and Linen Management: Wash, dry, and fold linens for furnished units and amenities spaces, ensuring they are fresh and ready for use. Landscaping Area Cleaning: Keep landscaped areas clean and clear of litter, debris, and seasonal leaves as needed, maintaining an attractive outdoor space for residents and customers. Drainage Maintenance: Clear onsite drainage systems when needed, such as grates and catch basins, to prevent clogs and ensure proper water flow. Unit Preparation & Furniture Setup Unit Turnover Cleaning: Deep-clean vacated units to ensure all surfaces, appliances, and fixtures are spotless and ready for new residents. Furniture and Décor Setup: Arrange and set up furnishings in rental units, including making beds, setting up essential household items, and performing laundry to prepare spaces for new tenants. Furniture Cleaning: Dust, vacuum, and sanitize furniture in both common areas and individual units, maintaining the condition and cleanliness of all furnishings. Seasonal & Minor Maintenance Snow Removal and De-Icing: Clear entryways, sidewalks, and parking areas of snow and ice during winter months to ensure safe passage. Basic Maintenance and Repairs: Perform minor repairs, such as tightening fixtures, replacing light bulbs, painting touch-ups, and basic carpentry tasks as needed to keep units and common areas in top condition. Furniture Moving and Setup: Assist with moving and arranging furniture in common areas, amenity spaces, and rental units as required. Other Responsibilities as Needed Amenity Spaces Setup: Clean, arrange, and maintain amenity spaces like fitness rooms, lounges, and meeting areas to ensure they are ready for tenant use. Garbage and Recycling Management: Manage garbage and recycling areas and rooms, by emptying bins, maintaining cleanliness, placing improperly disposed items in bins, and handling waste removal schedules. Inventory and Supplies Management: Keep track of cleaning supplies, linens, and maintenance tools, ensuring adequate inventory for all tasks. Emergency Response: Serve as a point of contact for any urgent cleaning or maintenance requests, addressing issues promptly. Staff Communication: Coordinate with other property staff and management to ensure seamless operations, communicate cleaning schedules, and provide updates on maintenance activities or unit turnovers. Issue Reporting and Repairs: Actively identify and report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, alarms, or repair needs throughout the property, ensuring that all areas are in safe and optimal condition. Firewatch Patrol: Perform occasional firewatch patrols when needed, ensuring fire safety protocols are followed, emergency exits are accessible, and no potential fire hazards are present on site. What You Bring: Experience in janitorial work, property maintenance, or related fields is an asset. Attention to Detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness and organization. Basic Handyman Skills for performing minor repairs and general upkeep. Physical Capability to handle tasks like furniture moving, snow removal, and other physically demanding duties. Organizational Skills for managing time and prioritizing tasks, with the ability to work independently. Effective Communication Skills for coordinating with tenants, team members, and supervisors.
