About The Role
We’re seeking a Program Manager, People to manage and execute strategic initiatives across the People function. This role will work closely with the Chief People Officer (CPO) and People leaders to drive operational excellence, strategic alignment, and impactful outcomes. What You’ll Do
Portfolio Management: Oversee the People team’s portfolio of strategic initiatives, including tracking, reporting, and evaluation to ensure alignment with Affirm’s goals.
Portfolio Strategy: Develop and implement a portfolio management strategy to align, track, and evaluate projects effectively.
Executive Communications: Develop high-quality written and oral communications, including talk tracks, presentations, and messaging for executive-level employees, ensuring clarity and strategic alignment.
Project Management: Contribute to the development of strategies, plans, and procedures to execute People function initiatives successfully.
Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with People leaders to align project goals and objectives with Affirm’s broader strategic objectives.
CPO Support: Directly support the CPO by planning, prioritizing, and executing on critical needs and requirements for the People team.
Standardization: Establish consistent project management, change management, and communication practices, including frameworks, tools, and templates.
Operational Excellence: Streamline People Team operations, including refining the operating model, maintaining the budget, and driving process improvements.
Strategic Planning: Support the annual fiscal year strategic planning process for the People team.
Advisory Support: Provide consultative support on People strategy and specialized initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in program management, portfolio management, or strategic operations, ideally within a People/HR function.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with a track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop clear, compelling talk tracks and communications for senior leaders.
Ability to identify risks, streamline processes, and deliver impactful results in a fast-paced environment.
Strategic thinker with attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach.
Familiarity with change management frameworks and tools is a plus.
Pay Grade - J
Equity Grade - 4
Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills.
Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents.)
CAN base pay range per year: $102,000 - $142,000
