Position Overview The Warehouse Receiver will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse, facilitating the receipt, storage, and distribution of food and supplies essential to our operations. This role is a combination of administrative work to receive in our inventory management system and floor work, inspecting, packing, and loading goods and pallets on delivery trucks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Receive incoming shipments of food, liquor, and supplies, verifying the accuracy of contents and inspecting for damage or defects. Unload deliveries from trucks and transport items to designated storage areas within the warehouse. Receive, transfer in our inventory system in a timely and highly accurate manner. Maintain accurate inventory records through proper documentation and utilization of inventory management software. Organize and arrange inventory to optimize space utilization and ensure efficient accessibility. Prepare and pack orders for outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Collaborate with other warehouse staff to fulfill orders and meet operational objectives. Assist with periodic inventory counts and audits to reconcile discrepancies and ensure the accuracy of inventory records. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by warehouse management. Help support implementation of CMH health and safety initiatives. Help support implementation of CMH sustainability initiatives. Participate in and provide support as required, during emergency response situations. Support guests and employees in the field program during area visits, as needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional education or certifications in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field are an asset. Experience in a warehouse role, preferred. Experience in the hospitality industry, preferred. Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract. Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Qualities Familiarity in utilizing inventory management software and experience with data input tasks an asset. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in entering data and handling inventory. Experience in food handling is advantageous but not required. Demonstrates integrity, discretion, and problem solving. Has demonstrated attention-to-detail, with accurate data-entry skills and abilities. Able to communicate in an effective and timely manner over the phone, in-person, and in written communication. Positive and collaborative working style with an ability to build meaningful relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and professional working relationships with peers. Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, as well as an ability to learn other relevant software platforms. Able to prioritize tasks in a complex and fast-paced environment with seasonal workload fluctuations and changing priorities. Confidence to interact with all levels of the company in a hub-and-spoke model in which many individuals are remote. Trustworthy, goal-oriented, respectful, and self-directed in completing the core functions of the role. Sees projects through to completion including follow-up on any identified issues. Working Conditions Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position up to 50 pounds daily. Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing around 250 lbs. on a regular basis, and perform physical tasks associated with warehouse work. Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis. This position is required, at times, to work on evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business. This position may require occasional travel to CMH areas, as well as some travel to industry functions on an occasional basis.
