Reporting to the Mill Maintenance Planning General Supervisor, the Mill Maintenance planner will be responsible for the planning of shut down and daily maintenance tasks in one or more of the following areas: crushing, conveyors, grinding, flotation, filtering/drying, reclaim, leaching as well as other areas of the milling complex. Responsibilities will include managing various maintenance strategies designed to maintain the health, reliability, and overall protection of equipment while keeping to a “Best Practice” planning standard of managing backlogs, building and maintaining job plans, bills of materials and SOP’s. Responsibilities:
Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
Develop job/plan packages with necessary information to allow efficient scheduling and execution of work
Verify the scope of work to be performed is accurately captured on work orders
Determine tasks and sequence necessary to accomplish work
Identify health and safety risks for each task with required permitting
Develop adequate work instructions for each task
Use Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as work backlogs to improve on maintenance efficiencies and availability
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of supervisory/planning experience in a metallurgical processing plant or equivalent
Recognized trade qualification, technical diploma or equivalent
Understanding of planning and scheduling principles and procedures
Computer literacy including Microsoft Office and working knowledge of a computerized maintenance management system
Must have Gr.12 or equivalent
Possess a valid driver’s license

Salary Range: $106,000 - $131,000
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
