About the role We are looking for an expert in communication strategy with strong writing and storytelling skills to bring creativity and precision to our communications. This position is based in our Toronto or Montreal office. You will contribute to defining the strategy and annual communication plan for Intact Insurance's senior executives across the country. The goal is to build a coherent narrative to maintain and stimulate employee engagement and performance through understanding and adherence to our strategy, values, and leadership success factors. Your communication strategy will also need to include a second audience: our business partners, the brokers across the country. We want them to better understand our value proposition and make Intact Insurance the insurer of choice for their clients. We also want these stakeholders to see us as a leader in building resilient communities. What you’ll do here: Understand what makes a good story: a catchy element, authenticity, details, and a strong call to action. Create engaging messages for our internal teams and brokers to strengthen our B2B brand. Quickly develop a solid understanding of the company and the ability to translate strategy into meaningful and engaging communications. Develop strategic communication plans and associated initiatives end-to-end, including events for our internal teams and brokers. Assess the needs of each project, gain buy-in, implement the plan, and measure the impact. Act as a trusted advisor to build strong relationships with internal business partners and colleagues at all levels. Design end-to-end multi-platform content, including written, video, and audio content, across multiple platforms and for various audiences (external, internal). Help senior management effectively convey our message on various occasions. Work closely with other communication and event advisors on the team to ensure strong cohesion between the national plan and regional plans, which must fit into and support the national narrative. What you bring to the table: At least seven years of relevant experience in journalism and/or communications. Degree in corporate communication, marketing, or journalism. Experience in creating strategic communication plans (research, measurement, and evaluation) and designing specific content strategies to achieve organizational goals. Strong ability to guide and influence peers to adopt a collaborative, proactive, and open attitude towards change. Experience in setting publication schedules and adapting articles for different platforms. Experience using personas to develop messages and articles aimed at a specific audience and prompting action. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Great ability to understand strategy and complex issues and to create clear and effective messages. Proven ability to deliver creative or strategic work on time and manage multiple projects and expectations simultaneously. Proven ability to gain consensus among multiple stakeholders. For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English speaking colleagues across the country. No work experience in Canada required but must have authorization to work in Canada.
