Position Summary:
The Finance and Administrative Clerk will provide financial and administrative support to ensure efficient and accurate operations within Robinson Huron Waawiindamaagewin. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial record-keeping, data entry, office administration, and supporting financial reporting processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process invoices, expense claims, and payments in a timely manner.
Ensure that financial transactions are accurately recorded.
Respond to enquiries from employees and vendors regarding financial matters.
Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and reconciliations.
Organize and maintain financial and administrative files and documentation.
Provide general administrative support, including scheduling meetings, preparing correspondence, and responding to inquiries.
Support compliance with financial policies, procedures, and funding agreements.
Maintain effective communications with Finance team.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Post-secondary diploma in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance, bookkeeping, or administrative roles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
Knowledge of Indigenous governance, funding agreements, and financial reporting is an asset.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive financial information with integrity.
Excellent communication and people skills.
Experience collaborating with Indigenous communities or organizations is an asset.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Office-based position with a standard workweek of 37.5 hours per week.
May require extended periods of sitting and computer use.
Frequent travel within the Robinson Huron Treaty territory may be necessary to attend meetings.
The role requires managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a challenging environment.
