The Role
As an Embedded Software Engineer, you’ll play a hands-on role in solving meaningful problems, driving outcomes, and contributing directly to Solink’s growth. You'll collaborate across engineering, product, and operations teams and be trusted to take ownership—because we believe great ideas come from everywhere.

What You’ll Do
Design and implement secure, high-performance embedded software across Solink’s hardware portfolio.
Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for IoT devices and IP cameras.
Build robust communication layers between edge devices and the cloud using protocols l
Develop real-time and fault-tolerant systems for security-critical features
Integrate and control external hardware systems including cameras, access controllers, sensors, and other IoT devices.
Optimize software for performance, power consumption, and reliability.
Debug and troubleshoot firmware/hardware integration issues.
Contributing to the design of embedded update systems and remote diagnostics.
Lead architecture discussions and contribute to key infrastructure components such as messaging daemons, SPI-based protocols, or offline failover logic.
Write test suites and observability tools (e.g., OpenTelemetry, LTTNG) to maintain reliability, performance, and traceability across the fleet.
Contribute to OTA (over-the-air) update systems and remote diagnostics.
Partner with cross-functional teams including product managers, cloud engineers, and support to ensure edge deployments meet real-world performance and security needs.
What You Bring
Must-Have:
3+ years of professional experience in embedded or low-level systems development with proficiency in Rust or C/C++, and familiarity with Python or Shell scripting.
Deep understanding of Linux system internals, including kernel modules, TTY/serial drivers, memory management, and boot optimization.
Familiarity with hardware communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO).
Understanding of network protocols
Experience with toolchains such as GCC, OpenEmbedded, Yocto, or Buildroot.
Demonstrated ability to take ownership of system architecture and deliver reliable software at scale on resource-constrained devices.
Nice-to-Have:
Experience with peer-to-peer or mesh networking architectures in IoT ecosystems.
Familiarity with BLE, voice recognition, or access control integrations.
Hands-on experience with tracing and observability tools like OpenTelemetry or LTTNG.
Practical knowledge of ARM/x86 ASM, reverse engineering (IDA Pro, Hopper), or secure boot/TPM.
Familiarity with Kubernetes/Docker and CI/CD for embedded software.
Exp working on video streaming platform/software
Experience with AI/ML on edge devices (e.g., TensorFlow Lite, OpenCV).
Familiarity with DevOps for embedded systems (CI/CD, automated testing).
Contributions to open-source embedded or IoT projects.
Passion for hardware integration, automotive systems, or security-related firmware applications.
Security Requirements
Candidates must undergo a criminal records check upon hire;
