About us
Eli is the women's health company making continuous hormone monitoring possible. We empower people to understand their bodies every day and improve their health outcomes across their lives. Hormones are at the core of our health, yet they remain a black box. Eli is on a mission to unlock this box by developing a product that provides real-time and lifelong insights from saliva.
We are a diverse, intentional, and fast-moving team driven by our mission. You will work with a small group of experienced engineers, scientists, and entrepreneurs who are shaping the future of at-home testing by developing and commercializing new technology. Eli is a venture-backed and early-stage startup. You can visit our website or check out recent press articles to learn more about us.
About the role
Primary Focus: Develop our React Native mobile application and TypeScript/Postgres backend that supports it. You'll move fluidly between mobile and backend development based on team needs and project requirements.
The Bigger Picture: Work directly with our CTO and data science team to build features that genuinely improve people's lives. You'll be part of a team that's not afraid to push boundaries and adopt the latest technologies, including AI tools that amplify your development velocity.
Optional Opportunities: Dive into infrastructure, security, auditing, monitoring, logging, analytics, and KPIs if that sparks your curiosity. We have a robust DevOps infrastructure, but we love developers who want to understand the full stack.
About you
Intensely Curious: You're at the forefront of technology and excited about what's next
AI-Forward: You embrace AI tools like Claude Sonnet Max to achieve incredible development velocity
Health-Conscious: You understand the value of technology that improves human well-being
Active & Alive: You bring energy and passion to everything you do
Growth-Minded: You want to learn and grow at lightning speed
Collaboration-Ready: You'll thrive working with our CTO and data science team
Technical Requirements
Solid Experience: Demonstrated track record with serious projects and active GitHub presence, 5+ years as a developer in a full-stack software engineer position.
Tech Stack: TypeScript and React Native (we'll get you up to speed on our specific implementation)
Mindset Over Technology: We care more about your ability to think and adapt than specific framework knowledge
Great Advantages (But Not Required)
Open Source Contributions: We love developers who contribute to the community
High-Paced Environment Experience: If you've thrived in fast-moving environments or have interest in the startup world, you'll feel right at home
