Key Responsibilities:
Assemble and configure camera systems using off-the-shelf, and custom components
Operate a custom calibration machine
Use Linux for basic system configuration and testing
Maintain documentation, logs, and weekly status reports using Microsoft Office
Take ownership of product quality and ensure assemblies meet specifications
Coordinate shipments and manage shipping schedules
Monitor and maintain inventory levels; flag low stock proactively
Perform basic troubleshooting and resolve assembly-related issues
Identify and suggest improvements to increase efficiency and quality in the build process
Requirements:
Proven mechanical assembly experience, preferably with cameras or precision hardware
Working knowledge of Linux is helpful
Proficient with Microsoft Excel
Organized, reliable, and able to work independently
Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver high-quality results
Experience coordinating shipments and managing stock levels
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with custom calibration or testing equipment
Previous contractor or independent technician experience
Comfort with continuous improvement and process optimization practices
