Job Description What's the opportunity? The Strategic Execution Team is part of the Process Risk and Strategic Execution group under the RBC Enterprise Chief Controls Office, which has a mandate to develop and implement a proactive, standardized, scalable program and project management discipline that drives consistency in delivery of strategic objectives, while ensuring execution of RBC enterprise (Board, CoE and Group Executive) and cross-functional business programs and projects. Working within a high-performance area of the bank, the team provides opportunities for skill development, career advancement, and the chance to work on the bank’s most ambitious initiatives. As a Senior Project Manager on the Strategic Execution team, you will provide project management support for a variety of programs and projects. You will work closely with Directors and the Senior Director along with other key stakeholders across the enterprise. This role requires a dynamic individual with considerable experience managing large-scale, complex initiatives. What will you do? Plan and execute projects with high level of complexity and uncertainty. Oversee project operating procedures, monitoring the productivity and performance of project team. Enterprise-wide project or program experience Manage project scope by assessing requirements changes, determining and conveying impact on timelines, budget and resourcing. Develop, manage and ensure adherence to project schedules and completion of project goals. Raise and track risks, issues and conflicts, remove barriers. Resolve minor project risks, issues and escalate them where appropriate. Manage project communications including status reports to executives, stakeholders, business partners, vendors and project team. Including the effective management of project management repositories. Facilitate Project Sponsor awareness of changes being introduced into the organization by the project and appropriately manage organizational change management. Establish strong working relationships across platform teams to build influence and impact with key business partners. Set up appropriate governance and oversight of all projects, ensuring project follow established Project Management standards. What you need to succeed? Must have 5+ years’ progressive business project-related experience Advanced project management knowledge including project plan development; scheduling capabilities; project metrics gathering, analyzing, and reporting; risk and issue management; cost/benefit analysis. Proficient in MS Suites including MS Project. Able to manage ambiguity and navigate challenging situations effectively Excellent verbal, written communication, analytical and problem-solving skills Growth mindset, proactively seek out industry trends and organizational practices to explore alternative approaches and/or solutions Nice-to-have Experience with Iterative Waterfall, Agile, Kanban delivery methodologies Internal Audit experience an asset PMP certification or equivalent (preferred) What's in for you?
