This role is a leadership position within the Product and Test Software Engineering team at Redlen Technologies. Tasked with overseeing the development, upkeep, and improvement of key performance indicators for our products, the team plays a critical part in the surveillance and optimization of product yields. The incumbent will spearhead the improvement and maintenance of product test software essential for the user interfaces in testing, data collection and test hardware monitoring. This position is fundamental in building a solid framework for tracking product yield and guiding teams towards the identification and rectification of any issues related to product performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Defining, planning, and executing projects that support the achievement of the Operational goals and strategic roadmap in the following areas:
Product Performance Monitoring:
Develop and maintain key performance indicators for product yields, providing regular reports on trends and insights.
Develop the infrastructure necessary for monitoring product yields and for rapid excursion detection and pinpointing the sources of process deviation.
Metric Development:
Identify and implement leading in-process metrics to ensure consistent product yields.
New product and test software validation & manufacturing integration:
Early engagement in new product development to provide insight for manufacturability and testability.
Oversee the validation of new products and ensure their effective transition into the manufacturing stream.
Act as the key liaison between the product development team and manufacturing units, ensuring smooth implementation of new products.
Improvement and Maintenance of Product Test Software:
Oversee the enhancement and continuous maintenance of critical product test software integral to manufacturing operations, facilitating testing, data collection, and monitoring of test hardware.
Taking the leadership and coordination role in complex problem-solving events.
Providing mentorship and leadership to the senior and junior engineering staff
Lead the recruitment and career development of our Product and Test Software Engineering team including being responsible for the day-to day management of the team’s tasks, setting goals, coaching, driving individual and team success, 1 on 1 meetings, reviewing performance, optimizing employee retention, inter-company communication and removing barriers to success;
Continuously implement initiatives that aim to improve processes, systems and culture across the department and wider company; and
Maintain and model a positive and professional attitude, that cultivates healthy working relationships across all levels of the organization.
Experience Required:
Experience in a related data analytics capability in electrical or detector physics.
At least five (5) years of demonstrated Engineering leadership experience.
A balance of leadership and management skills with applied, hands-on engineering skills
Have outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills and be able to work with limited supervision to attain goals
Demonstrate positive attitude and self-motivation.
Skills and Additional Requirements:
Excellent data analysis, problem solving, and decision-making skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills necessary to prepare and present updates and summaries.
Demonstrated ability to partner successfully with other groups to build strong peer relationships and meet customers’ needs
Education:
MSc/MASc in electrical / electronic engineering strongly preferred, a combination of a relevant undergraduate degree and industry experience would be considered.
Salary Range: $120,000 - $170,000 CAD

It is common for ranges to span multiple levels in order to attract top talent across experience levels. It is uncommon to be hired at the top of the range; however, in exceptional cases where a candidate's skills and expertise significantly exceed the role's requirements, we may consider offering a higher salary.
